SUMMIT DOUBLES-TUESDAY EVENINGS-6:00 p.m.
A group of disc golf enthusiasts will be sponsoring informal tournaments every Tuesday evening starting June 3rd through Labor Day at Summit Park 5700 S. Archer Road. The 18-hole evening tournaments will be a shotgun start and will play from the best shot. Admission is $7.00 with $5.00 going for the cash award for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place each evening. Another $1.00 will be placed in an “ACE” fund and will be rewarded for a hole-in-one. The last $1.00 will be donated to the Summit Park District to be used to maintain the course. Two member teams are encouraged as well as individuals who will draw to be placed on a team. For more information contact the Park District at 708-496-1012.
RESULTS OF THE SUMMIT SLAM DISC GOLF TOURNAMENT ON PDGA WEB SITE
The latest disc golf tournament was held on Saturday, May 17th. Results of the tournament may be viewed on PDGA’s web site: www.pdga.com.
Summit Park District’s course is one of a limited number of 18 hole courses in the Chicago land area. It will also be unique because of its location within the woods. The course will be available year-round in that cold weather does not prevent the course being played. The course will be open for public use, free of charge, during normal park hours.
